Agricoltura in città. Benefici e valori delle pratiche agricole a Milano

Con l’obiettivo di prestare un’adeguata attenzione agli elementi sociali e culturali in gioco, il volume fonda le proprie premesse teoriche e metodologiche a partire da una lettura critica dei quadri analitici inerenti allo studio dei benefici connessi all’interazione tra comunità locali, ecosistemi e biodiversità. L’analisi si focalizza, in particolare, su due esperienze di agricoltura urbana ubicate presso i margini del Comune di Milano, promosse da Cascina Sant’Ambrogio e Boscoincittà. Fine ultimo dello studio è comprendere la complessità di questo fenomeno, mettendone in luce potenzialità e limiti, ed elaborare linee guida per una maggiore sostenibilità dei progetti implementati in questo ambito.

Biografia autore/autrice

Valentina Capocefalo, University of Milan

Valentina Capocefalo è una geografa umana. Sotto il profilo della ricerca teorica, indaga la genesi, lo sviluppo e l’applicazione di paradigmi scientifici che studiano la relazione tra società, ecosistemi e biodiversità. Sotto il profilo della ricerca empirica, si occupa della rilevazione di benefici e valori connessi alle relazioni socio-ecologiche, all’interno di studi interdisciplinari. Questi ultimi coinvolgono sia ambiti come le discipline agrarie e biologiche, che aree del sapere umanistico come le scienze letterarie, in Italia e in Europa. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano nel 2024. Attualmente è assegnista di ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Beni Culturali e Ambientali dello stesso Ateneo.
