Atlante degli uccelli nidificanti nella città di Milano

Questo volume riassume oltre quindici anni di indagini sull’avifauna nidificante nella città di Milano, realizzate grazie al contributo di decine di volontari. Offre un quadro esaustivo della distribuzione di 80 specie nel periodo 2009-2024, ottenuto armonizzando i dati raccolti nell’ambito di diversi progetti di citizen science. I risultati mostrano dinamiche contrastanti: da un lato un aumento della biodiversità, dovuto all’espansione di specie di uccelli forestali, favorito dall’incremento del verde urbano e dalla maturazione della vegetazione arborea; dall’altro, l’espansione di specie non native e la contrazione di specie iconiche degli ambienti urbani. L’Atlante costituisce uno strumento indispensabile per integrare la tutela della biodiversità nella pianificazione urbana del futuro.
