Synopsis

In this chapter, we analyze how Open Social Innovation can be enabled by an innovative entrepreneurial approach. The selected case studies, Dolomiti Innovation Valley, FOQUS – Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli ETS, Hubruzzo, and Isola Catania, have been examined through the lens of the theoretical framework developed within the PRIN project. The analysis, with a particular attention to the entrepreneurial genesis of OSI initiatives, the development of project ideas, governance logics, the assessment of social and territorial impacts, and the role of communication, aims to highlight points of comparison among different initiatives and to identify potential evolutionary trajectories.

The goal is not only to describe and disseminate the experiences observed, but also to identify generative mechanisms of value capable of inspiring new Open Social Innovation initiatives.
