Tra presenze e assenze: indagini sulle corrispondenze in prosa e in versi di Vittoria Colonna

This paper reflects on the prose and verse correspondences of the poet Vittoria Colonna (1492-1547), showing the discontinuities that character-ise the surviving documents, which make it complex (and sometimes im-possible) to intersect the data of the lyric tradition with the information that can be obtained from the carteggio. After observing these gaps, we will retrace the significant moments that marked the circulation of Colonna’s poetry outside the Kingdom of Naples, and we will focus on some poetic correspondences, like the ones with Giovanni Guidiccioni and Federico Fregoso, highlighting the data gathered from a parallel reading of Colon-na’s letters and the “epistolary” section of her poetry.
