About the Press

The Quaderni of Prassi Ecdotiche della Modernità Letteraria series initially took on its editorial identity between 2016 and 2020 under the publisher Ledizioni, offering in print the same content that the journal («PEML») published – and continues to publish – online in Open Access. The two formats were entirely parallel, presenting identical material (with the exception of the review sections, reports, and thesis archive, which remained exclusive on line).
Afterwards, the journal continued to develop exclusively in its online format. Starting in 2025, the Quaderni di PEML are being relaunched by the Milano University Press, migrating to this digital Open Access platform and, most importantly, adopting a new editorial format. The renewed series is designed to present focused research pathways and investigations, which will partly consolidate contributions from various issues of the journal and partly host monographic volumes.
These editorial proposals will remain fully consistent with the methodological orientation of PEML, a journal devoted to textual criticism (ecdotica) and authorial philology, and may also be directly connected to the journal’s affiliated scholarly, research, seminar, and conference activities.
