Synopsis

The volume, edited by Silvia Salini, provides an overview of Milan's labor market by analyzing employment flows in the Metropolitan City of Milan using Mandatory Communications (COB). A key finding is the growth of permanent employment in the Milan area. The work stems from discussions initiated during the MiO2024 study day at the University of Milan, involving various stakeholders studying the labor market. Experts such as Massimo Ferlini, Chiara Gigliarano, Marco Leonardi, Emilio Reyneri, and Flavio Verrecchia contributed to the debate, highlighting the role of administrative archives in building territorial information systems. Its interdisciplinary approach makes it a valuable resource for policymakers interested in the labor market.
