Il «verme», l’«osso magro e lucente». Una lettura metapoetica di Ossa mea
Synopsis
This study attempts a metapoetic reinterpretation of Ossa mea, exploring the meanings and functions of certain keywords (specifically: ‘worm’, ‘bones’) occurred in some articles Testori wrote before (or during) the composition of the poem. The ‘risalita verso la Croce sullo sfondo del possibile sfacelo dell’Universo’ thus seems to suggest the revitalising and provocative role of poetry in the face of apocalypses and the alienation of the present. The dialectic of destruction and construction proposed by
Ossa mea is rendered stylistically through strategies of fragmentation and
recomposition of words: consider the frequent syllabification of words,
the presence of technical rhymes, lists and nominal accumulations. Finally,
the life-death dialectic is projected onto the space-time coordinates, organising
the here and now like a ‘palimpsest’.
