MEIEC Series is dedicated to the dissemination of research conducted within the MILAN ECONOMIC IMPACT EVALUATION CENTER, on evaluating the economic impact of public and private initiatives and policies.

MEIEC Series is one of the tools to build an “engaged scholarship” approach towards the development of public policies and private investments, based on impact assessment, focusing on increasingly close collaboration among universities, businesses, public institutions and civil society, to create a new knowledge infrastructure to support decision making.

In particular, this series responds to the need to spread the culture of economic impact evaluation outside of the academic world: by means of analysis dedicated to measuring the real economic and social impact of institutions’ and private sector’s decisions.  Given the different nature of economic evaluations to be made, contributions to the series are welcome from a variety of disciplines, industries and point of views.

MEIEC Series is designed to address:

  • Policy Maker
  • Executives and Managers of public and private institutions and companies
  • Third Sector Institutions
  • Entrepreneurs and Start-uppers
  • Researchers and academics interested in economics, politics and management
  • Journalists

Published in MEIEC Series:

  • Impact Report: monographs on a specific phenomenon and the analysis of its impact on the economic, social and public system. Addressed to specialists and researchers who are knowledgable in the specific sector or industry covered.
  • Executive Impact: reductions for large-scale distribution of the contents of the Impact Reports, intended for an audience that is technically less related to the sector or topic of reference, but interested in it.
  • Impact Voice: podcast with interviews and insights on the economic impact of events, initiatives and policies, supervised by the editorial committee
