Synopsis

Logica pratica is an introduction to elementary logical and mathematical reasoning built from practice. It is presentation is problem-based: rather than presenting theory as a set of abstract preliminaries, the book develops logical concepts through the active resolution of carefully chosen problems, many inspired by admission tests to Italian universities. As students work through questions involving sets, Boolean reasoning, quantified statements, sequences, and probability, they progressively construct the core methods logical reasoning. The result is a hands-on and engaging path to logic as a practical intellectual tool.
