Submissions
Author Guidelines
Submission
Publication proposals must be sent via email to the series director.
To submit a proposal, the proposer is required to:
- Complete the Proposal Submission Form according to the template available on the MUP website.
- Attach the complete and final version of the publication in Word or PDF format. The text should comply with the stylistic and formatting criteria summarized in the MUP Editorial Guidelines.
Evaluation and Validation of Proposals
Each submitted proposal is reviewed by an expert member of the Scientific or Editorial Committee, who assesses its scientific relevance and suitability for the series.
If the expert's opinion is favorable, the proposal is then submitted for evaluation by all members of the Scientific Committee, who must provide their opinion on whether to proceed with validation.
Peer Review Process
The series adopts an open review process. Proposals are assigned to a reviewer selected by the Editorial Committee based on their expertise and specific competence.
The review process aims to provide authors with expert feedback, including suggestions for improvement or possible modifications. Only after the review process is completed, the volume is sent for editing and publication.
The Editorial Committee ensures that authors have considered the opinions of the Scientific Committee and the reviewer's recommendations.
Privacy Policy
MUP operates in compliance with data protection standards, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regarding "data subjects' rights," which include:
(a) breach notification,
(b) right of access,
(c) right to be forgotten,
(d) data portability,
(e) privacy by design.
The GDPR recognizes the «public interest in data availability», which is particularly relevant for those committed to ensuring the highest level of integrity and public visibility of scientific research outputs.
The collection of personal data from registered and non-registered users of the platform is strictly limited to the standard operational purposes of all peer-reviewed scientific publications. Only essential information is collected for evaluation and publication procedures, for informing readers about authorship and editorial processing of content, and for anonymously and aggregately outlining reader preferences for individual articles, as well as their national and geographical origin. These data are used exclusively for scientific communication purposes.
The MUP staff uses the collected data solely to manage workflow and improve the formal quality of texts. Data may be partially shared with OMP (PKP) developers, always in an anonymous and aggregated form, with the only exception being publication, consultation, and download metrics. The data will not be used for commercial purposes or any other purposes beyond those stated here, neither by the editorial staff, the publisher, nor PKP.
