About the Press
Focus and scope
The Series is mainly aimed at aspects and themes involving Tarquinia and brings together diversified and interdisciplinary research lines derived from the direct study of materials, from the small scale of the vases to the medium of the archaeological structures and the large scale of the territory and the landscape. Colleagues, undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, specialists and PhDs collaborate in the publication of the results of the excavations and research in Tarquinia in the specific Series dedicated to the great Etruscan metropolis.
In addition, TARCHAN Series includes the Supplementi and the Quaderni sub-series.
History of the Series
Founded by Maria Bonghi Jovino in 1997 and directed by Maria Bonghi Jovino and Giovanna Bagnasco Gianni, it has been published by Milano University Press since 2022 in open access gold for the digital edition and in print on demand for the paper edition.
Open Access Policy
The Series, in compliance with the principles of Open Science promoted by the University, is proposed as an editorial tool for the implementation of freedom of access to scientific literature and for the dissemination of research results.
The volumes are published in open access to ensure the widest possible dissemination and circulation of knowledge examined by the scientific community.
The volumes of the series are published under the Creative Commons - Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License
Anti-plagiarism measures
The Editorial Board and the Scientific Committee will act promptly in case of errors and incorrect behaviours, ascertained or presumed, in relation to the published contributions and those yet to be published. As regards the published texts, in the event of errors, they will promptly report any corrections, and in the event of fraudulent publication or proven plagiarism, they will proceed with the retraction of the texts. During the review phase, the Editorial Committee may make use of automatic plagiarism detection tools (anti-plagiarism software).
