Synopsis

In the context of an increasingly environmentally and socially conscious world, the University of Milan is aware of its responsibility to contribute significantly to a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive society. Through the Sustainability Report, the University communicates the results and impacts of its key activities related to the United Nations 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to its stakeholders and the community. The document highlights the University's commitment to integrating sustainability principles into all its activities, based on an understanding of sustainability as a way to produce well-being (on an economic, social, cultural, environmental, and healthcare scale) without compromising the ability of future generations to provide for their own needs. The 2023 Report is the second Sustainability Report that the University has prepared following the standards set by the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS).
