Scritti di storia - Historical Writings - Écrits d'histoire is a series promoted by the Department of historical studies. We invite contributions in the field of general history, from the ancient time to the present. We are particularly interested in work that will appeal to a broad audience of professional historians and not just to specialists in a single field. Consequently, even though it is a fundamental aspect of our academic mission, our aim should not only focus on publishing works written by the members of our Department or re-publishing works by former members whose impact was important in order to affirm our cultural identity. In fact we are really very interested in proposing the Italian translation of some titles published elsewhere. This latter perspective is really important for us, because it entails that the Department keeps its aim to pursue a clear and well-defined cultural line in the Italian academic system. Scritti di storia follows a double-blind review procedure in which the identities ofthe author and the evaluators remain confidential.
